1. Introduction & DPF Commitment

The Knownwell Group, Inc. (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides an AI-driven commercial intelligence platform. We transform natural business communications into actionable insights through our proprietary analysis and automated orchestration.

Data Privacy Framework Compliance: The Knownwell Group, Inc. complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF), the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce. We have certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that we adhere to the Data Privacy Framework Principles regarding the processing of personal data received from the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.

2. Information We Collect (Connectors)

Our platform operates via a “pull” architecture, ingesting data only from the systems you explicitly authorize.

A. Customer-Managed Connectors

We collect communication and relationship metadata from the following categories of integrations:

  • Communications: Slack, Microsoft 365 (including Teams and Outlook), and Google Workspace.
  • CRM & Sales: Salesforce, HubSpot, and Gong.
B. Data Types
  • Communication Content: Message bodies, subject lines, and timestamps.
  • Identity Data: Names, email addresses, and profile identifiers of authorized users.
  • Metadata: Interaction frequency and relationship signals used to generate our “Commercial Intelligence” scores.

3. How We Use Your Information (AI Transparency)

We process your data to provide Retention Intelligence, Growth Intelligence, and the Knownwell Score.

  • AI Processing: We utilize proprietary algorithms and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Gemini AI for data analysis.
  • No Model Training: We do not use your personal data or communication flows to train global third-party AI models. All data is processed in isolated environments.
  • Technical Operations: We use non-identifiable technical information (browser type, operating system) to ensure system performance and security.

4. Onward Transfers & Liability

We share data only with infrastructure partners who are bound by strict Data Processing Agreements.

  • Primary Subprocessor: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for hosting and AI processing.
  • Liability: The Knownwell Group, Inc. maintains responsibility for the processing of personal data it receives under the DPF and subsequently transfers to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf. We remain liable under the DPF Principles if our agent processes such data inconsistently with the Principles.
  • Law Enforcement: We may be required to disclose personal data in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

5. Your Rights: Access and Choice

  • Access: You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you and to request its correction or deletion.
  • Choice: You may opt out of data collection at any time by disconnecting an integration via your dashboard. As we primarily act as a Processor for your organization, we may refer requests to your employer (the Data Controller).

6. Dispute Resolution (BBB National Programs)

In compliance with the DPF Principles, The Knownwell Group, Inc. commits to resolve complaints about our collection or use of your personal information.

  2. Independent Recourse: For any unresolved complaints, we have agreed to participate in the BBB National Programs Data Privacy Framework Services. If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your complaint, or if it is not satisfactorily addressed, please visit https://bbbprograms.org/programs/privacy/dpf for more information and to file a complaint.
  3. Arbitration: Under certain conditions, you may invoke binding arbitration for complaints not resolved by other recourse mechanisms.
  4. Enforcement: We are subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
