The Knownwell Group, Inc. (“Knownwell”, “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website knownwell.com, use our mobile applications, or interact with our services (collectively, the “Services”).
1. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) Notice
Knownwell complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF), the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Knownwell has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (EU-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of personal data received from the European Union and the United Kingdom in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF. Knownwell has also certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of personal data received from Switzerland in reliance on the Swiss-U.S. DPF. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the EU-U.S. DPF Principles and/or the Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles, the Principles shall govern. 2. Types of Data Collected & Purposes
We collect personal data strictly for developing and improving our commercial health/intelligence modeling capabilities:
- Identification & Contact: Name, email, and phone number to provide services and communicate updates.
- Interaction Data: Email and messaging interactions (content, metadata, and timestamps) analyzed exclusively to identify patterns indicative of customer commercial health.
- Billing: Payment information processed through secure third-party providers to bill customers for our services.
Purpose Limitation: Data derived from messaging is explicitly excluded from training unrelated AI models (such as general LLMs). We do not use this data for external benchmarking in any way that identifies a specific client.
3. Disclosure to Third Parties
Knownwell discloses personal information to the following types of third parties:
- Cloud Infrastructure Providers: For data hosting and retention.
- Payment Processors: For secure transaction handling.
- Communication Platform Providers: To facilitate customer support and messaging.
4. Data Access and Choice (User Rights)
In compliance with the DPF Principles, EU, UK, and Swiss individuals have the right to:
- Access: Confirm whether we are processing your personal data and obtain a copy of that data.
- Correct/Amend/Delete: Request to have the data corrected, amended or deleted where it is inaccurate or processed in violation of the Principles.
- Choice: You have the right to opt-out of (i) your personal data being disclosed to a third party (other than our agents/service providers), or (ii) your data being used for a purpose that is materially different from the purpose for which it was originally collected. Certain personal data, such as information about medical or health conditions, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, is considered “Sensitive Information.” We will not use Sensitive Information for a purpose other than the purpose for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized by the individual unless we have received your affirmative and explicit consent (opt-in).

5. Accountability for Onward Transfers
Knownwell may transfer personal data to third-party service providers (agents) who perform functions on our behalf.
Liability Notice: Knownwell remains responsible and liable under the DPF Principles if third-party agents that it engages to process personal data on its behalf do so in a manner inconsistent with the Principles, unless Knownwell proves that it is not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.
6. Disclosure for Law Enforcement
Knownwell may be required to disclose personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.
7. Regulatory Authority & Enforcement
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has jurisdiction over Knownwell’s compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF, the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. DPF.
8. Dispute Resolution & Independent Recourse
In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF, the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. DPF, Knownwell commits to resolve DPF Principles-related complaints about your privacy and our collection or use of your personal information.

BBB National Programs: If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your DPF Principles-related complaint from us, or if we have not addressed your complaint to your satisfaction, please visit BBB National Programs (our independent recourse mechanism) at https://bbbprograms.org/programs/privacy/dpf/complaints for more information or to file a complaint. This service is provided at no cost to you.
Binding Arbitration: Under certain conditions, more fully described on the Data Privacy Framework website, you may invoke binding arbitration when other dispute resolution procedures have been exhausted.
