There are 3 conversations happening around artificial intelligence today.
The first is a technology conversation that centers around large language models like ChatGPT and their rapid advancement. The second is around discrete use cases and business processes that AI is augmenting, like content creation, software engineering, and medical research.
The third conversation, which we believe should be getting much more attention than it is, centers around how AI can fundamentally change the way businesses operate to deliver value to their customers.
Episode 6 of AI Knowhow focuses on the big idea that today’s businesses are inefficient at delivering value to customers. “There’s a big question mark around, ‘How will organizations be run in the future?’” David DeWolf says. “And what is really compelling is if you look at the data, 85 percent of a knowledge workers’ time is spent not on doing their core job. It’s on these operational aspects of business.”
The big takeaway for leaders? Now is the time to begin identifying your value streams. You can then tap into AI to create an intelligent operating system with AI-optimized value streams.
